REQUIREMENT
Parks Canada requires landscape construction, located at its former Boundary Road Bridge crossing on the Talbot River of the Trent Severn Waterway near Bolsover, Ontario. The work is intended to permanently close the roadway as a bridge crossing and return the land to a naturalized state.
Construction work will generally include landscaping including the removal of all former bridge and roadway structure remnants, building demolition, tree planting, roadway construction including asphalt paving, the stabilization of shorelines and the demolition of former bridge piers requiring in-water work within the Talbot River. The work is intended to proceed in a manner that maintains navigation on the Talbot River during the annual navigation season and otherwise will respect in-water work restrictions associated with the seasonal fish spawning timing window as well as bird and turtle nesting periods.
