    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    The Correctional Service Canada (CSC) requires the services of a qualified contractor to replace linoleum flooring and carpet tiles at the Keele Community Correctional Center (CCC).

    Objectives:
    To replace the flooring in the Living Unit (Second Floor) and Meeting Spaces (First Floor) at the Keele CCC, including necessary sub-flooring and trim with equivalent.

    Deliverables:
    The Contractor must:
    • Remove the existing linoleum floors, surrounding trim, and transitions as per Annex D – Floor Plan Second Floor (approximately 8000 sq. ft.), and dispose of it off site as per all current environmental regulations.
    • Remove any existing damaged carpet tiles, surrounding trim and transitions as per Annex E – Floor Plan First Floor (approximately 1400 sq. ft.), and dispose of it off site as per all current environmental regulations.
    • Make all necessary repairs and preparations to the sub-floor on both the First Floor and the Second Floor, to ensure readiness for installation of the new flooring.
    • Install Linoleum flooring as per Annex D – Floor Plan Second Floor that meets the following specifications:
    - Rolled, 2.5mm thickness, eco friendly (100% biodegradable).
    - Colour to be confirmed by Project Authority after Contract award.
    • Install four (4) inch rubber trim, and appropriate transitions as per Annex D – Floor Plan Second Floor.
    • Install appropriate carpet tile base as per Annex E - Floor Plan First Floor.
    • Install Carpet Tiles as per Annex E – Floor Plan First Floor that meet the following specifications:
    - 24” x 24” glue down, polypropylene, solution dyed carpet tile.
    - Minimum two (2) millimeters thickness, maximum three (3) millimetres thick.
    - Lifetime Commercial Warranty.
    - Colour to be confirmed by Project Authority after contract award.
    • Install four (4) inch rubber trim, and appropriate transitions as per Annex E – Floor Plan First Floor.

    Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none.

    Duration of Contract and Time Frame for Delivery:
    Construction Time: The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by March 31st, 2025.
