SCOPE OF WORK •Conduct a detailed desktop study. •Develop a conceptual ground model to characterize the ground conditions and material properties from all historic borehole records and produce geological elevations and cross-sections for the dock walls. •Prepare a draft report which would include the following: o Summary of the desktop review. o Conceptual ground model o Gap analysis to identify any missing information likely to affect design. o Geotechnical risk register to identify any geotechnical risks to the project, propose mitigation measures and assess the sensitivity of design to identified information gaps/existing assumptions. o Discussion on the various design codes and required levels of geotechnical analysis for each design standard. o Preliminary recommendations for the scope of geotechnical site investigation based on the findings of our desktop study described above, for discussion with PWGSC and HEL. •Attend a follow up meeting with PWGSC and HEL. •Issue the final geotechnical desktop study report addressing any comments from PWGSC and HEL and making final recommendations for the scope of geotechnical investigation to complete design based on the direction on the design approach to be adopted.
