Duration: November 1, 2013 – October 31, 2014, with options to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. Objective: The aim of this contract is to engage a cleaning firm who is capable of providing the technical expertise, management, supervisor, workforce, the pre-approved and listed materials, tools, products and equipment (except as supplied by Fisheries and Oceans) necessary to provide professional cleaning services to us such that all spaces assigned to be cleaned within this contract are maintained clean and hygienic. A Mandatory Site Visit is to be held on September 19th, 2013 at 9:00am local time at the Pacific Biological Station, Nanaimo, BC. It is a requirement for all persons wishing to tender on this project to attend this meeting at the site to familiarize themselves fully with the scope of work and the tendering requirements. Your attention is drawn to the fact that all parties working under this contract must provide proof that they have or have applied for security status to the level of “Reliability” effective on the date of closing of this invitation to tender. Compliance with the mandatory security requirements is the sole responsibility of the bidder. The bidder’s “Reliability” status must be granted by Industrial Security Program of Public Works and Government Services Canada. Reliability status is mandatory for Contract Award. Enquiries: All inquiries are to be submitted in writing to the Contractual Authority: Kim Walker at kimberly.walker@dfo-mpo.gc.ca The department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada will not necessarily accept the lowest or any of the proposals received and it reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received, which shall be final and at the sole discretion of the Department. The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
