JANITORIAL SERVICES for Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) at the Comox Coast Guard MTCS Facility at 299 Wireless Road, Lazo, BC

Duration: The services are to be performed during the period commencing upon August 1st, 2015 through to and including July 31st, 2016 with the possibility of (2) two 1 year option periods, with the approval of the Minister.

Objective: Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) at the Comox Coast Guard MTCS Facility at 299 Wireless Road, Lazo, BC requires daily janitorial cleaning services at its facility.  This location includes only 1 building.  Tasks required and further descriptions have been provided in the attached documentation. 

A Mandatory Site Visit will be held on Tuesday, June 2 at 10:00 am local for Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) at the Comox Coast Guard MTCS Facility at 299 Wireless Road, Lazo, BC.  It is a requirement for all persons wishing to tender on this project to attend this meeting at the site to familiarize themselves fully with the scope of work and the tendering requirements.  The Bidder’s representative must sign an attendance list and attend the entire site visit, to have their bid submission considered responsive.  

Your attention is drawn to the fact that all parties working under this contract must provide proof that they possess the security status to the level of “Reliability” or higher effective on the date of closing of this Request for Proposal.  Compliance with the mandatory security requirements is the sole responsibility of the bidder.  The bidder’s “Reliability” status must be granted by Industrial Security Program of Public Works and Government Services Canada.  Reliability status is mandatory and must be maintained throughout the Contract period.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada will not necessarily accept the lowest or any of the proposals received and it reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received, which shall be final and at the sole discretion of the Department. 
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
