Refurbishment of the Francois (West Point) Light Tower 2015 Sealed, signed tenders will be received up to 2:00pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT): July 3, 2015 for the attached services in accordance with the documents enclosed. Please address the bid to Jianna-Lee Zomer. Make sure any outside envelope (i.e. courier envelopes) are addressed as per the sample below. The onus is on the bidder to ensure that the bid is delivered on time to the location designated. The bidder is required to supply with their bid: Bid Security Any tender received after the above noted time will be considered late and will be returned to the sender unopened. Tenders may be revised by email, letter or fax (613) 991-1297, provided the tender and revision(s) are both received prior to Tender Closing Time. Nature of the Work: The work consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for light tower refurbishment at the WestPoint (Francois) Lightstation site, NL in strict accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract. Location of Work, Work site and Delivery Point: The site is located on a rocky headland at the end of a fjord announcing the outport of Francois on the south coast of Newfoundland (Latitude: 47.559917, Longitude: -56.733917) A Mandatory Site Visit will be held on June 19 2015 @ 11:00am. The site visit will occur over a one day period with helicopter flights leaving from Harbour Breton area to the site (flight will return to Harbour Breton – Contractor responsible for all costs associated with getting from home base to Harbour Breton). Departmental Representative will pay for helicopter services associated with the one day site visit held during the tender period. Contractors wishing to visit the site must contact the Contracting Authority to obtain further information (Flight Times/schedule) Please Note: - If weather doesn’t permit flying on the scheduled site visit day, it will occur on the following day. - A maximum of 1 person per Contractor will be permitted - 2 days advanced noticed is to be given to the Contracting Officer will respect to the company and individuals attending the visit Schedule: The contractor must complete this project before September 24 2015. Fisheries and Oceans Canada will not necessarily accept the lowest or any of the tenders received and reserves the right to reject any and all tenders received which shall be final and at the sole discretion of the Department.
