Statement of work
The Sherbrooke Research Centre in Lennoxville maintains a herd of 130 dairy cattle for research purposes. The Centre is seeking a private company to raise replacement heifers on a fee-for-service basis.
The company’s mandate will be to raise the Centre’s heifers starting from the age of approximately eight (8) weeks until eight (8) weeks before the expected calving date. The heifers will have to be boarded at the company’s farm for 21 to 25 months. The company’s housing facilities must therefore be able to accommodate approximately 100 head.
Period of Contract
From Date of award until November 30th, 2017 with the option to extend the duration of the Contract by up to four(4) additional one(1) year periods under the same terms and conditions..
