The scope of work consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment, and material for the electrical system construction at Branch, NL. The work will be completed in strict accordance with the specification and accompanying drawings, and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract.
The project work will consist of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following:
The removal of existing wiring, conduit, enclosures, wiring devices, lighting, pedestals, etc. as indicated on electrical drawings.
Supply and installation of all shore power, junction boxes, cover plates, receptacles, labels, power pedestals, etc. as indicated on the drawings.
Supply and installation of all conduit and fittings for a complete installation.
Supply and installation of a new electrical service rated 400 amp, 120/240 volt, single phase, 3 wire.
Supply and installation of electrical devices in new shed as indicated.
Installation of owner supplied light fixtures on existing wooden poles as indicated on the drawings.
Supply and installation of conduits and wiring to power pedestals, and light poles as indicated on the drawings.
Supply and installation of multi-circuit energy metering systems as indicated on drawings.
Coordination with utility company, the supply of a new electrical service. All associated contribution in aid of construction costs from the Utility to be included in tender price.
Supply and installation of new electrical shed.
Contractor will be required to trench through existing concrete and asphalt to complete the full scope of work. Allow for replacement of concrete and asphalt as detailed on drawings.
FAMILIARIZATION WITH SITE
Before submitting a bid, bidders can visit the site and its surroundings, at their own expense, to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials needed for the completion of the work, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.
Contractors, bidders, or those they invite to site are to review specification Section 01 35 29 – Health and Safety Requirements before visiting site. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid.
