NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC) – Extension

The Government of Canada hereby announces the amendment and extension, on a sole source basis, of the services contract with CAE Military Aviation Training Inc. (Montreal, QC), for the provision of services under the NATO Flying Training in Canada program at Canadian Forces Base Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake, Alberta, in support of military student pilot and instructor pilot training. The contract value will be revised by an amount not to exceed $571M (applicable taxes included).

The current contract expires in December 2023. This administrative and accounting amendment will extend the contract period by an additional four years, plus a one-year option period, until December 2027 or 2028. This amendment and extension are necessary to mitigate the gap in services until all services under the NFTC program become available under the future replacement program.
