Description
Workplace Training (WT) will provide positive results for the employee and employer involved in each Workplace Training Contract. The target Participant will meet Employment Insurance (EI) eligibility and must be unemployed and committed to returning to the workforce in a full-time capacity. Participants may lack formal education or have outdated skills that make it difficult to find employment in the current labour market. Employers will benefit by having the opportunity to match an employee to a position and then be provided with funding to work with the employee to bring them to the skill level needed to successfully do the job. Employers will also benefit from avoiding the task of placing a job ad that may generate hundreds of applications and will take significant effort to find an employee that fits the position. The Participant and employer will receive support throughout their workplace training to increase likelihood of success with the end goal of the Participant maintaining their employment.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 38 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/03/01.
