City of Calgary - Request for Proposal - Design Concept and Guidelines for Electric Vehicle Hubs

1.This RFP is open to all interested vendors. 2. The City is seeking the services of a qualified team of consulting firms to work with The City to create design concept and guidelines for level 2 and 3 light vehicle charging facilities that can be scaled over time as the fleet & Inventory service line increases the deployment of electric vehicles within The City of Calgary . The intent of this work is to provide the facility planning, fleet and inventory and facility operations service lines with the necessary building blocks to identify potential charging hub locations and estimate the impact of the proposed configuration on both new and existing facilities within The City’s portfolio. The design concept guide should take a modular approach that allows components to be configured as appropriate to the varying size of the corporate fleet assigned to each site. The scope includes detailing each module’s impacts to a facility’s power capacity, consumption, storage, throughput, and energy resiliency, includes sample electrical and mechanical diagrams, and the relevant technical specifications for each component to support future planning activities. 3.This procurement process is not intended to create, and will not create a formal, legally binding bidding process. It will instead be governed by the law applicable to direct commercial negotiations. 4. Term- Final report date 2024 December 2
