Description
The newest town in Alberta, Diamond Valley, is inviting qualified Proponents to submit a Proposal to create a new Municipal Development Plan (MDP) to direct future growth. The plan will provide citizens and businesses with information on how the Town will address the current and future needs of the community, including land use, transportation systems, municipal services and environmental considerations. The new Municipal Development Plan aims to: • Meet the requirements of the Municipal Government Act (MGA). • Establish a clear, functional framework for future planning, growth, and development. • Reflect community priorities and goals through significant public engagement. • Provide specific, evidence-based policies and directions. • Ensure the Municipal Development Plan is useful for various municipal functions beyond planning, such as facility planning and economic development.

Contract duration

The estimated contract period will be 13 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/08/21.
