    Sealed Tenders, clearly marked as to content, will be received by the Engineering Department, 5520 - 50 St, Wetaskiwin, AB T9A 2G9 up to 2:00:00 pm hour’s local time on Thursday April 03, 2025, for the City of Wetaskiwin – 2025 Sidewalk Program. The time will be conclusively determined using the National Research Council of Canada Webclock at http://time5.nrc.ca/webclock_e.shtml. Tenders will be accepted between 8:30a.m. and 12:00p.m. or 1:00p.m. and 4:30p.m., Monday to Friday. All tenders will be EVALUATED, see section 00 21 13 for instructions. The final results will NOT be released by the City. The Work to be undertaken is generally described as: 2025 Sidewalk Program in the City of Wetaskiwin. Includes: • Sidewalk removal and replacement at various locations throughout the City, see details in the Summary of Work Document Section 01 11 00 • New Sidewalks at various locations throughout the city, see details in the Summary of Work Document Section 01 11 00 Starting 2:00:00 pm, local time, Thursday, Mar 06, 2025, Tender Documents and Drawings may be obtained in an electronic version from Alberta purchasing Connection @ https://www.purchasingconnection.ca Bidders must regularly check Alberta Purchase Connection for addendums. Bidders are completely responsible for ensuring that their bids reach the correct final location prior to the bid submission deadline. Fax, email and other non-hard copy forms of bids or amendments WILL NOT be accepted. Submission of a Tender by the Bidder gives the City the right to require the Bidder to execute the Contract and to perform the Work as set out within the Tender Documents. A bid bond or certified cheque for the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Tender Price is to accompany each Tender. Submission of a Tender by the Bidder gives the City the right to require the Bidder to execute the Contract and to perform the Work as set out within the Tender Documents. Tenders may not be withdrawn at or after the Tender submittal deadline and will be irrevocable and open for acceptance by the City for a period of sixty (60) days following the Tender submittal deadline. The bidder acknowledges and will be willing to accept the role of prime contractor pursuant to the occupational health and safety act requirements and by submission of a bid acknowledges that it has the capability of fulfilling this requirement. The City reserves the right, without prejudice, to reject any or all Tenders. The City of Wetaskiwin contracts have changed, and contractors must fully read and understand the responsibilities outlined in this document before submitting a bid. Inquiries regarding the Tender Document and/or Drawings shall be by email only and directed to engineering@wetaskiwin.ca up to 02:00 pm on Tuesday, Mar 25th, 2025, any inquiries after this time will remain unanswered.
