Forestry and Parks - Request for Quotes - Cypress Hills Provincial Park - Park Perimeter Fencing Replacement – Fencing Contractor

PROJECT BACKGROUND: The perimeter fence, estimated to be over 40 years old, has been replaced with new fencing over the course of three phases. Approximately 8 kilometers (5 miles) of fencing remain to be completed in this final phase. These remaining sections are located in remote areas, featuring a mix of flat terrain and valleys. This phase includes a separate project for the removal of trees and brush adjacent to the fence line to facilitate the removal and replacement of the fence, which will be completed under a separate contract. PROJECT OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this RFQ is to invite vendors who have the necessary qualifications and experience relative to the scope and nature of this project to provide quotes for the necessary fence removal and replacement required. Based on the responses gathered, one contractor will be selected to complete the work. The arrangement with the successful proponent will be established by means of a Contract based on the quotation form Pricing Schedule. 1. All work shall be in accordance with all local and provincial codes and regulations. All work shall be performed by a qualified contractor. 2. The Contractor shall provide all labour, materials, tools, equipment and services including transportation necessary to complete the Work. The intent is that the Contractor provides a complete job. 3. The contractor shall be responsible for all damages to the area as a result of this work, activities of this work and activities of the contractor's workers. All damages shall be repaired at contractor’s own expense.
