Description
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by Parkland County (the “County”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for 2025 Asphalt Concrete Pavement (“ACP”) Preliminary Design Including Geotechnical Investigation, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “Deliverables”).
The County is seeking Engineering and Consulting services to oversee the County’s 2025 ACP Preliminary Design Including Geotechnical Investigation project. This project supports the County’s asset management, long range planning prioritization, and supports the County’s five (5) year capital plan for ACP road rehabilitation. This project will evaluate pavement surface conditions and provide preliminary design information for rehabilitation of three (3) roadways within the County, two (2) within Acheson Industrial area and several streets within the Hamlet of Wabamun.
Parkland County is a rural municipality located immediately west of Edmonton. Covering an area of 256,802 hectares (634,571 acres), it is one of the largest in size and one of the highest populated of all rural municipalities in Alberta. Parkland County has grown to a community of over 30,000 people and has seen generations of families continue to enjoy country living.
