PROJECT BACKGROUND: The proposed FireSmart project is focused on fuel load reduction by removal of coarse woody debris that has been a result of the dwarf mistletoe infestation and weather events.
PROJECT OBJECTIVE: To complete work by conducting treatment up to 20m from roadways and campsites and to reopen an emergency access route, including a gate installation, at the highway.
-- All work shall be in accordance with all local and provincial codes and regulations. All work shall be performed by a qualified tradesman. Contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits from the authority having jurisdiction.
-- The Contractor shall provide all labour, materials, tools, equipment and services including transportation necessary to complete the Work. The intent is that the Contractor provides a complete job. Demolition and disposal costs are to be included in the contractor’s quote. Site is to be clear of all debris upon completion of vegetation removal work
-- The contractor shall be responsible for all damages to the buildings, sites, and services as a result of this work, activities of this work and activities of the contractor's workers or their negligent security arrangements. Damages shall be repaired at contractor’s own expense.

Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 4 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/11/08.
