Description
The Province is requesting Proposals for the provision of satellite bandwidth for its satellite network consisting of over 230 very small aperture terminals (VSAT) throughout Alberta, with the following minimum specifications required:
• 22 Mbps of downstream data.
• 36 Mbps of upstream data.
The hardware being used within the satellite system is manufactured by iDirect Evolution and any calculated throughputs must follow the iDirect hardware’s specifications.
All of the remote terminals and satellite hub equipment are supplied and maintained by the Province as Services are specific to the space segment.
Contract duration
The estimated contract period will be 60 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2024/01/15.
