Description
The current irrigation system in the proposed section (Blocks A – G) at Mountain View Cemetery is a legacy above ground hand pipe system, which is becoming obsolete. Many of the system components are outdated and replacement parts are unavailable making it difficult to replace/lifecycle the existing pipe. The water coverage and efficiency of this system is not ideal, forcing us to water during the heat of the day, leading to excess evaporation and watering only once per week. Automating these blocks will allow us to add to the legacy parts to our existing inventory to keep the remainder of the legacy system in working order, until it can all be automated.
