Description
Proprietary Traffic Signal Priority (TSP) emitters are currently installed on all Calgary Transit buses (over 1000 vehicles). The emitters pre-empt traffic lights and bus-only gates. The lights and gates utilize detectors that are the same brand (manufactured by Global Traffic Technologies aka GTT) as the emitters on the buses. Both the GTT emitters, and GTT detectors are proprietary and exclusively distributed by ATS traffic in Alberta. Sole source letter from GTT (manufacturer) is available to support this.
