    Description
    This ITT is an invitational solicitation run via one of BC Housing’s region-specific prequalified rosters for Prime Contractors. This second stage ITT has been posted publicly to enable Subcontractors and/or Trades who are interested in participating in the project to connect with the invited prequalified Bidders listed below.

    Only the invited, prequalified Bidders listed below may participate in the bidding process and attend the mandatory site visit.

    MANDATORY INFORMATION MEETING
    Bidders must attend a site visit on the specified date and time below:

    Time: 2:30 pm PT
    Location of Site Meeting: 430 Dunlevy Avenue, Vancouver, BC

    Subcontractor Attendance is Mandatory

    Site visits begin promptly at the time, date and location specified above.

    A sign-in sheet will be provided, and all Bidders are required to sign in. Note that submissions will only be reviewed for those Bidders who have attended and signed the sign-in sheet. No exceptions to this will be permitted.                                                                                                                                                             
    All questions and enquiries from the site visit must be submitted to the ITT Contact person prior to the date and time as per section 3.2 Timetable.

    Representatives of your firm attending a site visit must provide and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

    Brief Description of Work
    This project involves significant mechanical, electrical, and structural work. The main tasks are:
      • Mechanical (Re-pipe):
        • Coordinate with the City of Vancouver to install a new double main water supply
        • Repipe Domestic hot and cold-water piping with PEX tubing.
        • Install backflow assembly, PRVs, meter station, hose bibs, shut-off valves, water hammer arrestors, and valve tags.
        • Replace pumps
        • Replace shower diverters and repair/paint affected areas.
        • Install CO2 Heat pumps, tanks, piping and all associated accessories.
     
      • Mechanical (HVAC):
        • Add a cooling section to an existing MUA and install a condenser unit.
        • Replace existing gas heaters/boilers with a heat pump system.
        • Install ventilation and heating/cooling systems in suites, including electric baseboard heaters.
        • Install Heat Recovery Ventilators
        • Repair affected areas and ensure firestopping.
     
      • Electrical:
        • Provide additional power and connections for new mechanical equipment.
        • Install a security system.
     
      • Structural:
        • Upgrade and reinforce structural systems to support new mechanical installations.
     
      • General:
        • Conduct hazmat abatement as required based on provided reports.

    This comprehensive scope ensures updated and efficient mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
