Description
The Ministry of Citizens’ Services is requesting information from suppliers on fleet management services. The Province contracts for its Fleet Management Services (FMS) from a fleet management company. The Procurement Services Branch within the Ministry is the owner and administrator of the FMS contract on behalf of the Province, and is committed to supporting its users to remove obstacles that affect the business operations and to implement efficiencies.
The FMS contract’s scope of services currently includes, but is not limited to, the provision of service cards (acquisition of fuel and vehicle-related purchases from pre-approved vendors), vehicle ordering, maintenance, repairs, database management, fuel consumption tracking, administration support, upfitting, fleet electrification support, and general fleet support.
The Province’s contract for Fleet Management Services is currently set to expire in 2024. It is anticipated that a Notice of Planned Procurement will be issued in 2023 with respect to the next Fleet Management Services contract. As a preliminary step, the Province will be undertaking a review of its current Fleet Management Services contract and defining its future business requirements. One aspect of defining these requirements is to determine whether a singular vendor can provide all the required FMS services. To assist in this review the Province has issued this RFI and is seeking information in particular on Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) support services, and online vehicle ordering systems.
