This Request for Supplier Qualifications (RFSQ) is an invitation by Simon Fraser University (“SFU”) to prospective proponents (the “Proponents”) to submit their response in compliance with this RFSQ. The purpose of this RFSQ effort is to establish a number of lists of Qualified Contractors that SFU will use to deliver specific requests for invitations to bid for work, or to directly award work at SFU’s Burnaby, Surrey and Vancouver campuses.
Subject to the provisions of this RFSQ process and other existing SFU rules and policies SFU intends to award work to Qualified Contractors on “as-and-when” basis. Work may include capital projects, repair, renewal, maintenance and emergency works, exterior additions/alterations, interior tenant improvements, retrofits as well as refurbishment projects. See RFSQ Section 2.3 for further details. By using a list of prequalified vendors SFU expects provide fair opportunity to Qualified Contractors as well as save time and effort in awarding these works.
