EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST for FACILITIES ACCESSIBILITY REVIEW
Dear Prospective Vendors,
The Pacific Rim School District is seeking expressions of interest from qualified vendors to conduct a comprehensive review of the accessibility of our facilities within the district. This review aims to ensure compliance with accessibility standards and regulations, as well as to identify areas for improvement to enhance accessibility for all members of our school community.
Scope of Work:
Submission Guidelines:
Interested vendors should submit their expressions of interest, including the following:
Expressions of interest should be submitted electronically to groe@sd70.bc.ca no later than 2:00pm PST on Friday, July 5th, 2024.
Selection Process:
Expressions of interest will be evaluated based on the vendor's qualifications, experience, proposed approach, and cost. Shortlisted vendors may be invited for further discussions or interviews.
The Pacific Rim School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all expressions of interest received, to negotiate with any qualified vendor and to cancel or modify this request at any time.

Dear Prospective Vendors,
The Pacific Rim School District is seeking expressions of interest from qualified vendors to conduct a comprehensive review of the accessibility of our facilities within the district. This review aims to ensure compliance with accessibility standards and regulations, as well as to identify areas for improvement to enhance accessibility for all members of our school community.
Scope of Work:
- Conduct an on-site assessment of all facilities within the school district, including but not limited to:

- School Buildings (10 elementary schools and 2 high schools)
- Administrative Building (1 building)
- Maintenance Buildings (2 buildings)
- Recreational Facilities (none)
- Outdoor Areas and Playgrounds (all sites)
- Evaluate the accessibility of facilities in accordance with relevant laws, codes, and guidelines, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and local accessibility standards.
- Assess various aspects of accessibility, such as:

- Physical access (e.g., ramps, doorways, elevators)
- Wayfinding and signage
- Restrooms and other facilities
- Parking and drop-off areas
- Technology and communication accessibility
- Provide a detailed report outlining findings, including:

- Identification of areas compliant with accessibility standards
- Identification of areas requiring improvement or modification
- Recommendations for remediation and enhancements to improve accessibility
- Deliverables:

- Written report documenting assessment findings and recommendations
- Digital copies of all assessment data and documentation
- Presentation of findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders within the school district
- Timeline:
- The assessment and report must be completed within 60 days of commencing work
Submission Guidelines:
Interested vendors should submit their expressions of interest, including the following:
- Company profile and relevant experience conducting accessibility assessments for educational institutions or similar entities
- Proposed approach/methodology for conducting the assessment
- Estimated cost for conducting the assessment and producing the report
- Proposed timeline for completing the assessment and delivering the final report
