The City of Nanaimo is looking for a Consultant with expertise in:
Optional Work
At the City’s discretion, the Consultant may be requested to complete Optional Work, which includes developing a prioritization matrix and prioritizing the 35 drainage catchments within the City for future storm drainage studies.
This Request for Proposal is subject to the New West Partnership Trade Agreement, the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (Chapter 5), and the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (Chapter 19).

- Stormwater modelling using SWMM software.
- Spatial data management and ArcGIS.
- Detailed stormwater design and planning to complete a Stormwater study for the Cat Stream Drainage Catchment (CSDC).
- Prepare a storm model for the identified catchment.
- Prepare risk assessment of the storm infrastructure for the CSDC.
- Develop a Master Plan for the CSDC.
- Review and update existing Development Cost Charges (DCC) stormwater projects.
Budget: The maximum budget allocated for this project is $150,000, excluding PST and the Optional Work.
