Description
The Ministry’s Coast North Service Delivery Area has identified the need for a 4-bed specialized contracted home for youth aged 12-18 whose families live in North or West Vancouver.  As part of its ongoing work to strengthen its network of services and supports, the Ministry wishes to increase the number of full-time beds available for youth with significant needs, including, but not limited to, behavioural, mental health, substance use challenges, and involvement with the youth justice system.

The Ministry wants to determine the interest among vendors for developing the following:
  • a licensed 4-bed staffed home for youth (ages 12-18 years) in the care of the Ministry
  • Each youth will have their own bedroom within an appropriately furnished and equipped, smoke free home in compliance with MCFD Residential Safety Standards and Community Care and Licensing Regulations.
  • The home will be operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year, providing participants with a youth focused, safe, predictable, nurturing and structured living environment.
  • The home must be located in the community of North or West Vancouver.
