New West Steinbach Elementary School

This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by Prairie Architects Inc. ("Consultant") on behalf of the Hanover School Division (“Owner”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for a new build of an elementary school as further described in Section 1 of the RFP Particulars (Appendix 3) (the “Work”).

The Owner requires the services of a Contractor for construction of a new elementary school at 91 Parkland Drive in Steinbach, Manitoba. The Scope of Work is outlined in the specifications and drawings attached as Appendix 10.

Pre-Bid Meeting:

A pre-bid meeting will be held virtually on Zoom on:

Mandatory attendance at the pre-bid meeting is required for all general contractors (proponents) and mason, mechanical and electrical subcontractors. Attendance for all other subtrades is optional.

Proponents are to pre-register by email to Gary Hawthorne prior to the meeting at gary@prairiearchitects.ca. A link to the meeting will be sent as confirmation of attendance. It is the Proponent's responsibility to ensure registration and confirmation has been received prior to the meeting date.

Deadline for registration is 4:00pm on April 17, 2023. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting will be confirmed and recorded. Proposals will not be accepted from Proponents who have not attended the pre-bid meeting. Proposals that include pricing from mason, mechanical and electrical subcontractors who did not attend the pre-bid meeting will not be considered. Proponents are not entitled to rely on information received from the Consultant, the Owner or other third parties at the pre-bid meeting unless the RFP Contact has provided the information in writing. A list of attendees to the pre-bid meeting will be issued via addendum.

Bid submission deadline is May 4, 2023 at 2:00:00 P.M. CDT. This is an ebid submission and all bids must be uploaded through MERX. No other form of Proposal submission will be accepted.
