The purpose is to pre-qualify general contractors, mechanical contractors, and electrical contractors for the construction of a new facility to accommodate a free electron laser and associated research labs.
WaterFEL will become the first instance of this type of equipment in the western hemisphere.
The project construction budget is in the order of $25M.
It is anticipated that the Bid Call will be issued late February 2025.
Construction Start is anticipated for April 2025.
