IT Disaster Recovery Strategy and RoadMap
Solicitation number WCB2023-028
Publication date
Closing date and time 2023/09/29 15:00 EDT
Description
In today’s world of cybersecurity threats, climate uncertainties and other potentially impactful events, the possibility of an outage or other disaster scenario is very real. Given WCBNS’ responsibilities, the organization must be positioned with a comprehensive strategy to address such eventualities, to quickly recover and ensure ongoing provision of service in the face of outages, breaches or other interruptions, as well as having the ability to safeguard the organization’s information and its customer data.
In 2019, WCBNS initiated a DR Strategy and Roadmap and implemented a number of smaller “quick win” efforts to improve our posture in that regard. However, the effort was paused in 2020 due to other implementation efforts and capacity considerations.
DR improvements and the ability to recover from a cyber/ransom attack continue to be a high priority for WCBNS. As cyber threats and the disaster landscape continue to evolve, work is resuming to ensure WCBNS is effectively positioned to face these potential challenges.
