    Nature of Requirements: 
    
    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement. 
    
    The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to provide Haemodialysis and Nephrology physician care and support to inmates located in the Pacific Region.
    
    Objectives: 
    To provide Haemodialysis and Nephrology support within the CSC Pacific Regional Hospital dialysis unit in order to decrease the likelihood of outside appointments for this purpose.
    
    Tasks:
    The contractor must provide nephrology physician care to inmate(s) located in the Pacific Regional that require such care. including provision of initial consultation and assessment of new patients for assessment of treatment needs or ongoing monitoring as required.
    
    The contractor must liaise with Provincial Health partners and units in order to coordinate care required for Nephrology patients if the specific care cannot be provided at the Regional Medical Hospital or within the Institutional Health Services units.
    The contractor must provide up to weekly on site nephrology consultation clinics as required by the Dialysis nurse for patient specific cases, and to provide phone consultation to the Dialysis nurse for the same purpose as required.
    
    The contractor must provide ongoing support and consultation  to the Dialysis Nurse provider/s for the provision of on-site Dialysis Services as per the Community Standards.
    
    The contractor must provide leadership and consultation to the CHS and Dialysis Nurse in regards to ongoing Quality Assurance and Accreditation Standards as they pertain to on-site Dialysis Services.
    
    Deliverables: 
    The Contractor will provide written consultation reports and documentation as required for Nephrology patient care in English (for the following stages of patient care: ongoing planning of care, discharge planning, and transfer of care purposes). The contractor must also provide recommendations to the Dialysis nurse and Regional Medical Hospital Management Team in order to meet community standards in the field of Haemodialysis
    
    Expected Delivery Date: April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015 with 2 one year option to renew
