F5211-140031 to 140033 and F5211-140008 Sentinel Survey - Mobile Gear Projects Nature of Work: The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) has a requirement which consist of limited removals from the stocks in the NAFO 4T area of the southern Gulf of Saint Laurence under a pre-determined protocol for the purpose of collecting biological information. The primary objective is to obtain information on trends in the stocks (e.g. whether stocks are increasing or decreasing). The collected information will also assist in studying the distribution, migration and general biological characteristics (e.g. condition, maturity stages) of various fish species, and provide water temperature information. The work is to be completed between 01 August 2014 and 31 August 2014.
