    ADVANCE PROCUREMENT NOTICE
    SOURCE LIST FOR HEATING, VENTILATING AND AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) CONTROLS
    VARIOUS LOCATIONS ACROSS CANADA
    (WITH SECURITY REQUIREMENTS)
    Purpose of this Advance Procurement Notice
    This is not a bid solicitation.  This is an advance notice of a potential project with anticipated security requirements to provide interested Contractors an opportunity to apply for security clearances.  Note that there is no guarantee that this project will proceed. 
    Description of the Project
    The objective of this potential project will be to establish a separate HVAC Controls Source List for each of seven Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) sites and ensure qualified Building Automation Systems (BAS) contractors are available for future RCAF BAS projects at Cold Lake Alberta, Comox British Columbia, Gander Newfoundland, Greenwood Nova Scotia, North Bay and Trenton Ontario, and Winnipeg Manitoba.
    Description of the Services 
    Supply and installation of the BAS components for both new and renovation RCAF building projects. It is anticipated the value of the work will be roughly $11,500,000 over a five year span and that this procurement will be initiated in February 2015.  This is conditional on the project receiving approval to proceed by the DND. 
    Security Requirements
    For this contract, Contractors will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS) issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). 
    Process
    Contractors that do not meet the stipulated security requirements and that are interested in submitting a proposal for this procurement can apply for the security clearance through the Industrial Security Program (ISP).  This can be done by following the procedure on DCC’s website at the following link: http://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/english/contractors_consultants.html.  Processing times of security clearance applications may be lengthy. Contractors are encouraged to submit their request prior to September 3, 2014 quoting contract number AC159507 in the request.
