    Nature of Requirements: 
    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement. 
    The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement: In accordance with Commissioner’s Directive 708 paragraph 10(g), consistent with paragraph 4(e) of the Corrections and Conditional Release Act (CCRA) whereas “the Service facilitates the involvement of members of the public in matters relating to the operation of the Service”. 
    1.	CSC has a requirement for an External Member for the National Advisory Committee (NAC) for the Special Handling Unit (SHU).
    2.	The contractor must act as a member of the SHU NAC, external to CSC. The SHU NAC’s purpose is to make recommendations to the Senior Deputy Commissioner regarding placement of offender(s) in the SHU. 
    3.	CSC’s National Advisory Committee (NAC) meets approximately six (6) times a year, to review cases of offenders incarcerated at the Special Handling Unit (SHU). 
    4.	The Contractor's resource must support the CSC Project Authority on an “as and when requested” basis by providing services which include, but are not limited to:
    1.	Participate in CSC’s SHU reviews;
    2.	Participate in inmate interviews with other members of the NAC;
    3.	Participate in NAC Administrative meetings; 
    4.	Provide recommendations and comments to the NAC and SDC or his or her delegate with regards to admitting, transferring or to keeping offender(s) in the SHU; and
    5.	Provide comments on the SHU annual report.
    The deliverables associated with the services include but are not limited to the following:
    1.	Verbal recommendations to the SDC on whether offender(s) should be admitted to, maintained at, or transferred from the SHU; and
    2.	Verbal comments on the SHU Annual Report.
    Expected Delivery Date:
    The Work is to be performed during the period of one (1) year following contract issuance.
    The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to three (3) additional one (1) year periods, under the same conditions.
