Nature of the Work: The work covered under this project consist of furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material to install 5 new steel beams between existing ceiling and roof, and 10 new steel columns along the interior side of west and east walls to transfer all load directly to the foundation in strict accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of Contract. Location of Work, Work site and Delivery Point: The site is located is at St. Andrew’s Biological Station, 531 Brandy Cove Road, NB E3B 3V5 Mandatory Site Visit The mandatory site visit will occur over a one day period on August 28th, 2015 at 11:00am at St. Andrew’s Biological Station, 531 Brandy Cove Road, St. Andrews, NB E5B 3V5. Contractor is responsible for all costs associated with getting from home base to the site. The meeting location will be in front of Conference Center Building. Contractors wishing to visit the site must contact the Contracting Authority and to obtain further information/schedule. Please Note: - If weather is poor on the scheduled site visit day, it will occur on the following day; - A maximum of 2 persons per Contractor will be permitted; - 2 days advanced noticed is to be given to the Contracting Officer will respect to the company and individuals attending the visit It is a requirement for all persons wishing to tender on this project to attend this meeting at the site to familiarize themselves fully with the scope of work and the tendering requirements. The Bidder’s Representative must sign an attendance list and attend the entire site visit, to have their bid submission considered responsive. Start Date: Upon Contract Award Completion Date: All work to be completed by November 30, 2015. Fisheries and Oceans Canada will not necessarily accept the lowest or any of the tenders received and reserves the right to reject any and all tenders received which shall be final and at the sole discretion of the Department.
