Upgrades to the Roof at the Louisbourg Search and Rescue Station

Sealed, signed tenders will be received up to 2:00pm Eastern Daylight Time: Thursday, November 5^th, 2015 for the attached services in accordance with the documents enclosed.

Please address the bid to Melissa Saumure. Make sure any outside envelope (i.e. courier envelopes) are addressed as per the sample at the end of this document.

The onus is on the bidder to ensure that the bid is delivered on time to the location designated.

Any tender received after the above noted time will be considered late and will be returned to the sender unopened. Tenders may be revised by email, letter or fax (613) 991-1297, provided the tender and revision(s) are both received prior to Tender Closing Time.

Nature of the Work:

The SAR station roof has an approximate area of 220 M2 and the garage an area of 150 M2. The successful contractor will provide all materials and labour to replace the current shingled roof with a standing seam metal sheet roof system, restoring the roof substrate and venting components as required.

Payment will be based upon a lump sum.

Location of Work, Work site and Delivery Point:
9 Commercial Street, Louisbourg, NS.

Completion Date: All work including cleanup to be completed by March 31^st, 2016.

Bidders should note that all questions regarding this request for proposals must be submitted in writing, No Later Than November 2^nd, 2015, 2 pm (14:00 Hours) EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME to the contract authority. The department may be unable to respond to questions submitted after that date.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada will not necessarily accept the lowest or any of the tenders received and reserves the right to reject any and all tenders received which shall be final and at the sole discretion of the Department.
