The objective is to conduct studies, trials and other activities required for four (4) specific priority projects:
1. Integrated Weed Management (IWM) – on-farm demonstration of recommended cover-cropping techniques for weed management in cucurbit (squash) production
2. Best management practices to reduce incidence of downy mildew in cucumber production: recommendations for growers
3. Assessment of propagative materials, alternative downy mildew host plants, and plant residues as inoculum sources for the disease in cucumber production
4. Development of research-based, crop stage-specific economic thresholds for diamondback moth in canola
