    Description

    OBJECTIVE

    CRA has a requirement to acquire high density mobile shelving with mechanical assist that will work with CRA’s pre-existing shelving, to increase the storage capacity of physical evidence for the Criminal Investigations Division at the new CRA location of 145 Hobsons Lake Drive, Bond Room 333. All items stored in Bond Room 333 will be placed in boxes with the same uniform dimensions.

    The shelving layout provided by the Contractor must incorporate the existing shelving at the current bond rooms located at CRA’s Ralston location (1557 Hollis Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia) and CRA’s Burnside location (10 Akerley Drive, Unit 32, Dartmouth, NS).

    PERIOD OF THE CONTRACT

    The period of the Contract is from date of Contract award to August 5th, 2016 inclusive

    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT

    It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the site of the new Bond Room and the two sites where the existing shelving is being held. Arrangements have been made for a tour of all three work sites; however the Bidder is not required to attend all three sites.

    The site visits will be held on April 19th, 2016, and the schedule is listed within the Request for Proposal.

    CONTRACTOR SELECTION METHODOLOGY

    The evaluation of proposals will be performed in four (4) steps as follows:

    Step 1 – Evaluation against Mandatory Criteria

    Step 2 – Evaluation of Financial Proposals

    Step 3 – Selection

    Step 4 – Contract Entry

    The CRA reserves the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
