Title: Snow Plowing, Snow Removal and Sanding Services on Health Canada – Sioux Lookout Locations

Background and Scope:

Each winter season has snow buildup along with icy conditions that can create an unsafe

environment for access to Health Canada’s properties.

Annual winter maintenance is required at listed Health Canada properties to plow snow, remove snow

and sand/salt icy areas in order to allow vehicles, employees and pedestrians’ safe access to and

from these premises.

In the spring of the year unpaved parking lots and driveways require attention to ensure surface

water drains to not cause standing water after rains. The sidewalks and parking lots require sweeping

to remove excess gravel and sand.

M1. Bidders MUST provide a copy from an insurance broker or an insurance

company licensed to operate in Canada stating that the Contractor, if

awarded a contract as a result of the RFQ, can be insured in accordance with

the Commercial General Liability Insurance requirements specified in

R2910D (Insurance Terms) of the SACC Manual, and in the amount of

$2,000,000.00 or greater. If there is a conflict between the Insurance Terms

of R2910D and the instructions of this RFQ, the instructions of the RFQ

prevail.

M2. Bidders MUST provide a copy of valid Workplace Safety and Insurance

Board (WSIB) number and clearance certificate. The contractor must comply

with Workplace Safety and Insurance Board requirements.

Selection Methodology

The responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price will be recommended for award of a contract.
