Health Canada’s Tobacco Control Directorate (TCD) is seeking a qualified Contractor with experience in medical or health communications graphic design, package design and writing to undertake (1) concept development, refinement, design and production of Health Information Messages (HIM), and (2) design of Toxic Emissions Statements (TES) and Toxic Constituents Statements (TCS) for tobacco product packaging.
The objective of the Contract is to (1) develop and design new HIM and (2) design of TES/TCS for possible display on packages of cigarettes, cigars, bidis, pipe tobacco, smokeless tobacco, waterpipe tobacco and other tobacco products. Part of the work of the Contractor will be to create innovative concepts and/or designs of HIM and TES/TCS, within the boundaries of current tobacco legislation.
Health Canada plans on using the new HIM and TES/TCS in the development of future labelling regulations for tobacco products.
