    Description

    The Government of Canada will be hosting the 2018 G7 Summit, at the La Manoir Richelieu (LMR), La Malbaie in the Province of Quebec from June 8 to 10, 2018. 

    The Summit Management Office (SMO) of the Department of Global Affairs Canada (GAC) has been tasked with the organization, planning and delivery of these summits at various venues in La Malbaie and Quebec City. As part of the requirement for these events, SMO requires the rental services of a two-way radio communications system for a two - three day international special event

    The SSC G7 Operations team will be building a secure and reliable IT infrastructure that will be used by participants at the Summit to communicate with their colleagues and with their home countries.

    The same IT infrastructure will be used by Canadian and international media outlets to broadcast stories from the G7 Summit to audiences in Canada and around the world. Real time communications and fail safe operations are a major requirement for delegations, international media, security and the Summit Management Office (SMO).

    In previous summits, a combination of Push to Talk (PTT) services and Two Way Radios were used.

    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT

    It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visits to Quebec City (Centre de Congress) 1000 Boulevard Rene Levesque, QC, SMO Warehouse (TBD) QC, and CFB Bagotville, 7000 Chemin de la Bravoure, Saguenay QC on March 12, 2018, The site visit will begin at (9:00am) at Centre de Congress . The second day of site vsits will take place on March 13, 2018 starting at 10 :00am in La Malbaie , The planned sites to visit are Le Manoir Richielieu – 181 rue Richelieu, La Malbaie, Le Petit Manoir, 525 Chemin des Falaises, La Malbaie and Casino Charlevoix, 183 Rue Richelieu, La Malbaie.

    Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than February March 6, 2018, at 2:00 PM EST to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

    CONTRACTOR SELECTION METHODOLOGY

    A bid must comply with all requirements of the bid solicitation to be declared responsive. The responsive bid with the lowest total bid price will be recommended for award of a contract.
