Title: Application development in support of new initiatives within the Canadian Coast Guard.
Description:
The Canadian Coast Guard’s CCG-IT group is responsible for supporting existing applications that were previously managed by various branches and divisions. The mandate of the CCG-IT systems group is to reduce costs by consolidating funds and developing an internal support team. In addition, the CCG-IT group is assigned smaller, integral applications that have a specific business focus.
The successful Contractor’s resource (Programmer Analyst – Level 3) is expected to work, often with quick turn-around timeframes, with the project teams’ lead, or technical team lead to define, test, build, and implement small-to-medium applications in the organization’s desired technology. The applications may include websites, geographic information systems, voyage planning tools, and many more.
