NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT (NPP)
Nail Technician, Vocational training for inmates.
This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, CORCAN Prairie Region
Trade agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Canada free trade agreements with Chile/Colombia/Honduras/Panama/Peru.
Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid.
Competitive Procurement Strategy: Lowest priced compliant bid.
Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business: This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Aboriginal Suppliers.
Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.
Security Requirements: This contract includes security requirements.
Nature of Requirements: The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.
The Correctional Service Canada has a requirement to provide Vocational Training for Nail Technician.
Objectives: To provide vocational training and third party certification in a Nail Technician Training program to groups of women offenders at various sites in the Prairie Region.
Deliverables: The contractor must provide:
- Training materials, written and practical exercises and testing as required for the completion of the Nail Technician course;
- Outline of training course;
- All necessary materials which would include: manuals, handouts, materials (nail technician kit) and other necessary equipment;
- Delivery of all materials to site prior to start of course;
- A list of successful participants to designated manager;
- Certificates of completion for successful candidates within 21 days of course completion, delivered to designated manager; and,
- A detailed invoice within 21 days of completion of each training course.
Term of Contract:
Period of the Contract: The work is to be performed from date of Contract award to one year later with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods.

Given the nature of the requirements, proposals submitted by such means as facsimile or electronic mail will not be accepted.
After contract award, bidders may request a debriefing on the results of the bid solicitation process. Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within fifteen (15) working days of receipt of the results of the bid solicitation process. The debriefing may be in writing, by telephone or in person.
