Scope of Work:
Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) Harrow Research and Development Centre (HRDC) operate a large agricultural research laboratory with attached greenhouses, central heating and cooling plant and support buildings at Harrow, Ontario. The greenhouse structures located on the site were constructed by various suppliers, in different years and are covered with a variety of greenhouse glass and films.
AAFC requires a General Greenhouse Contracting firm to supply experienced labour and consumable materials required to repair, maintain and modify greenhouse structures and connecting corridors on a time and materials basis. All work will be carried out by the successful Contractor’s staff, subcontracting of specialty trades to carry out portions of the work will be acceptable.
Site Visit:
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a tour of the work site. The site visit will be held on April 4th, 2018 at 9:30 AM at the Harrow Research & Development Centre located at 2585 Essex County Road 20, N0R 1G0.
Attendance to this visit is NOT MANDATORY
Bidders will be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
Tender Period Closing Date and Time: April 24, 2018 at 02:00 pm (Daylight Time).
Information requests and inquiries related to this tender process are to be directed, in writing, ONLY to the AAFC Contract Officer identified below. Bidders who contact anyone other than the AAFC Contract Officer to obtain such information during the solicitation period may, for that reason alone, be disqualified.
It is MANDATORY for the Firms intending to submit tenders on this project to obtain the related specifications, plans and drawings, and all other tender documents through the BuyandSell service provider. Addenda, when issued, will be available from the BuyandSell service provider.
AAFC reserves the right to accept any Proposal in whole or in part, without prior negotiation and reject any or all Proposals
received.
