Auyuittuq National Park Housing and Garage Compound Rehabilitation, Interior and Exterior

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Parks Canada (PC) intends to retain a team of consultants in architecture and engineering services to perform concept, construction documents and site supervision to garage compound project in Pangnirtung, Nunavut.

The objectives of the project are but not limited:

• To review the existing consultant study on the Garage Compound in Pangnirtung, Nunavut;
• To provide Code compliant design solutions to the interior of the garage and civil design and solutions to the fencing of the garage compound;
• To develop a tender ready package for contractors for the work in the garage and garage compound.

  Please note that this project only involves the restoration of the garage site and the revitalization of the maintenance garage building to meet current codes. Please refer to the sections of the report in Appendix 1 pertaining only to the maintenance garage and its site

COMPEHENSIVE LAND CLAIMS AGREEMENT

This procurement is subject to the following comprehensive Land Claims Agreement:

EVALUATION

Bidders must demonstrate with their bid that they meet the Submission Requirements and Evaluation.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT

No visit or bidders' conference is planned for the project.

CLOSING DATE AND TIME

June 21, 2018 at 2 o’clock PM (EDT)

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

Standard Terms and Conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference into, and form part of the Tender and Contract Documents.

Period of Contract

The Contractor shall complete and perform the work from the contract award and completed no later than December 31, 2020.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
