NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT
Applicable Trade Agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).
Tendering Procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a response.
Nature of Requirement:
The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement to procure Lightweight Laser Target Designator Kits (LTD) through a competitive procurement process. As a first step, through this Request for Information (RFI), DND seeks information from suppliers that manufacture LTDs: Commercial Off-The-Shelf or Military Off-The-Shelf. There are no security requirements associated with this requirement
The RFI seeks to gauge Industry’s interest, capacity, and ability to meet DND’s requirement. Each respondent is expected to :
- Comment on the attached draft Statement of Work (SOW - Annex A0)
- Validate the attached Draft System Performance Specifications (SPS – Annex A1)
- Provide responses to the attached Questions for Industry (Annex A2).
This information may assist Canada to finalize its requirement. The information provided by Canada in this RFI is preliminary and may change. Other:
This RFI is not a solicitation nor will it be used to pre-qualify or otherwise restrict participation in a future Request for Proposal (RFP). Responses to this RFI will not be used to identify a source list for undertaking any future work. Responding to this RFI is neither a condition nor a prerequisite for participation in any RFP should Canada elect to proceed accordingly.
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
