    5P201-18-0123/A - Supply and Installation of Three (3) Heating Units and Equipment in King's Bastion Building - Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    Work of this Contract comprises of the complete supply and installation of Air handling Units #4,6,7, plus six (6) air vents, in the heating system for the Kings Bastion Building at the Fortress of Louisbourg, NS. The contractor must provide all labour, materials,equipment, etc. to supply, install, inspect, test,balance and commission the ventilation system at the King’s Bastion Building. Louisbourg, NS. The Contractor will be required to install the required equipment as per Drawings M1,M2,E1,E2,E3,E4. If required, Parks Canada will be responsible for any required asbestos identification and removal prior to any work on site by the contractor. Removal of the existing units is also the responsibility of the contractor. The contractor is responsible for all plumbing and electrical work associated with the installation of the three (3) units as well.

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

    Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders. Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

    PERIOD OF CONTRACT

    The Contractor must perform the work on October 15th and complete the work no later than January 15th, 2019. The Contractor may begin the work in building sections that are closed to the public at contract award, if preferred.

Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond.

    Parks Canada Procurement Unit provides services to the public in either official language of Canada.

    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.

    Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
