    Description of Work:

The Department of Library and Archives Canada is putting in place a supply arrangement for the following Application Services categories: Application/Software Architects, Level 2 and Programmer/Analysts, Level 2 to develop, enhance and support its application fleet.

Modernization represents the transformation of Library and Archives Canada (LAC) from an institution that prioritized the acquisition and preservation of analogue materials while providing limited access to these collections, to an institution that promotes open access to Canada's documentary heritage. Its access points must change to reflect the tremendous opportunities that advances in technology provide. LAC intends to offer unparalleled access to its rich and diverse collections. LAC is developing sophisticated information architecture and systems to ensure that this happens. The organization wants to meet the information needs of Canadians with multi-channel services on site or via the Internet with digital content, virtual reference, and digitization on demand.

LAC requires professional services to support LAC and its employees carry on this transition.

This supply arrangement will be on an as-and-when-required basis, to provide application architecture and programming for SharePoint development services.

    • The work is currently being performed by Orangutech Inc. under contract 5Z011-15-0165 (value $1 093,369.61 excluding taxes)
