    Description

    REQUIREMENT

    Parks Canada Agency requires a contractor to replace an existing boardwalk and construct an arbor at Virginia Falls, Nahanni National Park Reserve, Northwest Territories.

    See specifications and drawings for further details on the requirement of this project.

    To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $250,001 > $500,000, Taxes extra.

    Period of Contract / DELIVERY DATE

    Contractor shall perform and complete the Work no later than October 30, 2019. 

    OPTIONAL SITE VISIT

    There will be an optional site visit on June 5, 2019 at 8:30 AM.

    PCA will be chartering a plane for the site visit. Due to the limited number of seats, only 1 representative will be allowed to attend the site visit.

    Bidders must register and confirm attendance by May 29 in order to attend the site visit. Bidders that do not register prior to May 29 may not be able to attend. The location of the pre-flight meeting will be distributed to registered bidders.

    Bidders will be responsible for all costs associated with travelling to and staying in Fort Simpson for the site visit. Bidders will be responsible for providing their own food, warm clothes and equipment for the site visit and should plan for a 5-hour round trip. Steel Toe boots are required. All other PPE is at the bidders discretion.

    ENQUIRIES

    All inquiries of a technical and contractual nature are to be submitted to the Contracting Authority.

    Enquiries regarding this bid must be submitted in writing and should be received no later than five (5) business days prior to the date set for solicitation closing to allow sufficient time to provide a response. Enquiries received after that time may result in an answer NOT being provided.

    INFORMATION:

    National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

    Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

    The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
    Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
