    Description

Request for Proposals (RFP) – Absence Disability Management Services

About Farm Credit Canada (FCC): FCC is Canada’s leading agriculture lender, with a healthy portfolio of more than $36 billion. Our employees are dedicated to the future of Canadian agriculture and its role in feeding an ever-growing world. We provide flexible, competitively priced financing, management software, information and knowledge specifically designed for the agriculture and agri-food industry. As a self-sustaining Crown corporation, our profits are reinvested back into the agriculture and food industry we serve and the communities where our customers and employees live and work while providing an appropriate return to our shareholder. For more information, visit www.fcc.ca or follow us on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and on Twitter @FCCagriculture

    RFP Scope:

FCC is looking for a partner for our absence management process to help us proactively assist our employees during periods of short-term disability (STD). We would like to understand what the industry best practices are and what options are available to FCC for managing short-term workplace absences.

The intent of this program is to provide support to employees who become unwell for more than 10 consecutive business days and ensure a safe and healthy return to work.

In 2018 FCC’s average number of sick leave absences was 5 days annually which is significantly lower than the National average of 10 days as measured by Statistics Canada. At July 30, 2019, there were 24 employees on extended STD and 9 employees on LTD. FCC employs 1863 employees in 100 locations in all provinces across Canada.

    RFP Schedule:

    • RFP issue date: November 7, 2019

    • Vendor questions accepted until: November 13, 2019

    • RFP closing date and time: November 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM
