    1. Title

    Monthly Rental of Warehousing Services

    1. Objective

    The objective is to acquire services from a single vendor to;

    1) a secure and accessible location to safely store goods, such as office furniture, until they are required for use in current/future ESDC sites across the Atlantic region and

    2) on an “as and when requested” basis, obtain dedicated warehouse labour services to receive the goods.

    1. Scope of Work

    3.1 Warehousing Services

    Warehousing services consist of providing storage as described herein in the greater Moncton, New Brunswick area.

    • The storage unit must have a minimum capacity of 2,800 square feet.
    • The storage unit must be weather dry.
    • The Client will be granted access to the storage unit at all times.
    • The storage unit will have access to a loading dock that is accessible for 53’ tractor trailers.
    • Loading dock door at truck level or ground level: as long there is a fork lift on site with a pallet jack either height is acceptable.
    • The temperature of the storage unit must be maintained within the range of 17-30 degrees Celsius.

    Approximately 24 hours notice will be provided to the contractor when the unloading services are required. Shipping and receiving will be Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm with some exceptions that requiring flexibility.

    A visit of all proposed sites willl be done prior to contract award.

    The Contractor will provide flexibility to extend and/or reduce the length of storage on a monthly basis.

    3.2 Loading and Unloading Services

    The Contractor will carry out, to the satisfaction of the Client, on an “as and when requested” basis, services related to the loading and unloading of goods of approximately 15 trailers (2 hours unloading time for each trailer) for 2 resources for a total of 30 hours.

    Such services include, but shall not be limited to:

    1.  providing all warehouse handling, including loading and unloading with dock plate to access trucks;
    2.  Uncrating product and disposal of packaging materials to appropriate recycling site or third party recycling expert;

    The Contractor will provide capable and experienced resources, tools, lifting equipment, and all necessary supplies to perform all tasks properly, efficiently, and safely.

    Examples of items that are required, but not limited to:

    • Forklift truck
    • Pallet Jack

    The Contractor will provide employees that are certified and trained in operating a forklift and pallet jack.

    The Contractor will assume liability for any damage to Client’s property that is attributable to the negligence, whether intended or unintended of his employees and representatives. The Contractor will have 2 weeks to repair or replace the damages/loss.

    4. Constraints

    Labour costs for loading and unloading services, as outlined in Section 3 of this document, must be identified separately from the monthly rental fees and show the hourly rate on the invoice.

    These charges must only be applied on an “as and when requested” basis.

    The Contractor will provide the rental cost of the storage unit, as outlined in Section 3 of this document, as a dollar value per square foot.

    5. Insurance Requirements

    The Offeror will obtain Warehouseman's Legal Liability Insurance coverage on Government Property, and maintain it in force while under its care, custody or control for storage, in an amount of not less than two million (2 000 000$) Canadian dollars. The Government's Property must be insured on a Replacement Cost basis.

    The Offeror will notify Canada promptly about any losses or damages to Government Property and monitor investigate and document losses of or damage to Government Property to ensure that claims are properly made and paid.

    The Contractor will maintain the required insurance coverage for the duration of the Contract.
