    Nail Technician Training – Vocational Training

    This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Institutions in the Prairie region.

    Trade agreement:

    This procurement is not subject to any trade agreement.

    Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid.

    Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid.

    CSC may award of up to a maximum of two (2) Standing Offers as a result of this request for standing offer (RFSO), one (1) per each STREAM.

    Bidders can bid on one or both STREAMS; however, Bidders submitting a bid for both streams must be able to provide training at the institutional sites listed within the identified STREAM.

    Bidders must also be able to supply sufficient resources for the estimated volume of sessions for all STREAMS for which they are submitting a bid.

    Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business:

    This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Aboriginal Suppliers.

    Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement:

    This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement.

    Security Requirements: This contract includes security requirements.

    Nature of Requirements:

    The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.

    The Correctional Service Canada (CSC) has a requirement to provide third party certification for Nail Technician Training to groups of offenders at institutions in the Prairie Region.

    Objectives: To provide third party certification in a Nail Technician program to groups of offenders at the identified institutions in the Prairie Region. Upon successful completion of the training, the participants are to be provided with certificates.

    STREAM 1: Edmonton Institution for Women, Edmonton Alberta

    STREAM 2: Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge, Maple Creek Saskatchewan

    Deliverables:

    The Contractor must provide:

    a) Sufficient resources (instructors) to facilitate the Nail Technician course at the locations identified in section 5.0 Location of Work;

    b) Training materials – written, practical exercises, and testing as required for the completion of the Nail Technician course;

    c) Outline of the training course;

    d) All necessary materials to deliver the Nail Technician course. This will include, but is not limited to, all manuals, handouts, materials (nail technician kit) and other necessary equipment. Material and equipment will be stored on site at the institutional location for the duration of the course;

    Period of the Contract: The Work is to be performed during the period of Standing Offer award to December 31, 2021 with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods.

The debriefing may be in writing, by telephone or in person.
